
Annual Banquet Nomination Process and Form
We thank you in advance for your time and nomination. The Ohio Alliance of Black School Educators (OABSE) will be hosting its Eighth Annual Administrator Appreciation and Student Recognition Banquet and Conference. The all-day conference is Thursday, April 20, superintendent round-table symposium Saturday morning, and banquet Saturday evening, April 22, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio at the Hilton Columbus/Polaris 8700 Lyra Dr, Columbus, OH 43240. During the banquet, we would like to honor exemplary School Administrators and Principals across the state of Ohio. This will be a great opportunity to showcase excellence in leadership from your district at this state-wide event.
The suggested criteria to use to determine your selection is aligned with the National Alliance of Black School Educators’ (NABSE) model and includes:

The nominee must be a practicing elementary, middle/junior high school, or high school administrator/principal.

The nominee must have completed a minimum of two consecutive years of service in the state of Ohio.

The nominee must be a member of OABSE for their year of nomination or must become a member to be considered a candidate.

The nominee must be currently employed in an accredited school district or program.

The nominee must be able to attend the OABSE banquet and conference on April 21-22, 2023.

A biographical sketch and picture of the nominee must be submitted no later than Friday, February 18, 2023.
We will follow up immediately with a letter informing nominees of the same with instructions on the next steps.
Again, Friday, February 18, 2023, is the last day to submit a nomination, biographical sketch, and picture. The Nominating Committee will notify you of its final selections no later than Friday, February 25, 2023.
